This Wetlab course builds on the skills acquired in the preceding Drylab, enabling participants to apply and expand their instrumentation techniques in a real anatomical setting. Designed for orthopedic residents preparing for the board examination, it emphasizes realistic surgical conditions, anatomical variation, and the tactile precision required for safe and effective spinal fixation. In collaboration with our industry partner Medacta, participants will perform instrumentation of the thoracic and lumbar spine on real specimens, using original implants and instruments to refine their understanding of screw trajectories, rod contouring, and spinal alignment techniques, while gaining confidence through expert guidance and feedback.
To support the preparation, participants receive access to the Augmedi E-Learning platform upon registration. Featuring photorealistic 3D anatomy models and an AI-powered learning engine, the platform enables them to strengthen their anatomical understanding and monitor their individual progress ahead of the hands-on training sessions.
