Complex Spine Symposium

The Complex Spine Symposium Zurich is a major event in the field of spine medicine, attracting international experts to share their knowledge and best practices in the treatment of spine conditions.

As a special event, the hands-on workshops were held in the recently completed OR-X research and surgical training infrastructure which is in its testing phase. Participants learned about the latest endoscopic techniques and innovative approaches to complex spine surgery.

One of the highlights of the symposium for the attendees was to participate in live surgical demonstrations that took place in the OR-X. They could watch and learn from world-renowned spine surgeons as they revealed their surgical pearls. These sessions provide a unique and valuable learning experience, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the latest techniques in spine surgery. In addition, the symposium will feature lectures, case discussions, and training in endoscopic surgery performed on realistic models that simulate human tissue. The lectures will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest research and advances in spine medicine, while the case discussions will allow attendees to engage in lively debate and discussion of the most pressing issues in the field.

About OR-X
OR-X (Operating Room X) is a state-of-the-art infrastructure for surgical research and education based on the latest technology. It will simplify surgical education without placing unnecessary burdens on patients. Researchers can develop and validate new technologies and innovations more efficiently. The OR-X is finished and is currently in the test phase. The surgical research and teaching center will be officially opened in a ceremony on 24 August 2023.
